Sorry to break the admin convo, but I'm also a huge Halo fan.

Devs like to make a big deal out of games being on IRC and bittorrent, but i really doubt that most people would buy most of the games that they DL in the first place. Micorsoft, while understandably upset, is just doing thier theatrics deal. They know that Halo 2 is going to be the biggest selling xbox game of all time, and maybe even the biggest selling console game in the current generation if consoles.

To go a bit off topic; I'm even more excited about Halo 2 than I am HL2, and that's saying a whole lot. Halo is the best FPS of all time in my opinion, with HL coming in as a VERY close second.

Yes, I used to be a HUGE halo fan.. I used to be one of the best as well. 8)


I've settled down on that for now, waiting for my pre-order of halo2 to arrive.

Halo is alright But I would prefer to play Half-life1 over halo ANY DAY & i am confident that I will be able to say the same for Half-life 2 and HALO2

I like puzzle like games... To me halo's story is kinda wierd(not that Half-life is'nt).

But half-life has alot more "Gameplay"

Anyway, my local EB is opening up @ 12:00am on the 9th. And as bad as it may sound, I'll be there in line. Luckily I work for a bank and coming in a couple of hours late on the 9th won't be a problem so I can stay up late fragging until my heart's content.

While Halo doesn't really even have puzzles in it, our connotations of "Gameplay" differ drastically. The gameplay was the best of almost any game that I've ever played. I can load any level on legendary and still have a different fight with the covenant, and that gameplay is outstanding enough for me to still play the game on a regular basis.

Don't get me wrong, HL1 is one of the best games ever as well, but Halo just seemed to take it all to the next level for me.

Hmmmmm..... Halo wasn't nearly as good on the PC as it was on the xbox in my opinion. If/when they decide to port it this time, I hope they take a whole lot more time to optimize it for the PC platform.

You played halo before you played HL? Wow! I remember the first time I played HL. Aaaaahhhhhh....... I feel like an old man now. My younger brother has never even played HL, and none of his friends know what it is other than it has something to do with CS.

LOL yea i got Half-life somehow on steam after I heard about HL2, after I played Halo.

Its wierd none of the "gamers" at my school have ever heard of Halflife either. Damn this ignorance. 8O

Did you see that microsoft is going to make xbox2 controllers compatible with longhorn (their new OS)? I don't know how to feel about that, because the mouse/keyboard combo is really what sets apart pc gaming from console gaming. I like my PC and console worlds seperate.

As for Halo PC..... bleh! It was too easy with the keyboard/mouse combo. The enemy movement should have been upped considerably. Not to mention, it ran "okay" on rigs that were considered very good at the time it was released. I think they just rushed it out the door so they could put more focus on Halo 2's development. Just my opinion.

Is the PC version of halo 2 coming out soon after or is there a delay.

Not too sure, because the xbox version is the one that I'm really excited about. I would bet money on the fact that there will be a delay. And if I were to bet even further, I would say that it will be a 6-12 month delay.
