I am getting it with my collectors edition but i most of the people i know say its a waste of time, i disagree it will make an old game better what do you think?

Having bought the gold package I'll be getting HL:S. I can't wait to play through it again. I've played through HL about once a year since I got it back when it first came out. Seeing it with a facelift will be great. What i REALLY can't wait for is the totally re-done HL1 that VALVe plans on letting some mod team make. I think a really dedicated mod team could make HL1 cool for a new generation. Unfortunately 5 years is like two decades in this industry when it comes to peoples attention spans.

yep games get outdated and forgotten about to quickly in this industry but its huge dedicated commities that keep old games alive.

I think that a lot of neat little touches could be added to make it a new experince, even for those of us that have played it for years.

The source engine is very exciting.

i think ill play hl:s first... then play hl2 so i can get the whole story again and better graphix and stuff... then play hl2 and enjoy it

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that HL:S is coming out at an undisclosed time, but AFTER HL2 is out.

Either way, there's really no way that I will be able to keep myself from playing HL2 the day/night it's realeased.
